Mission
At Manchester Big Gay Big Band, our mission is simple yet powerful: to provide a safe, supportive, and celebratory space for musicians of all backgrounds and identities. We believe that music has the extraordinary ability to bring people together and create harmony both on and off the stage.
We take pride in being an active part of the LGBTQ+ community in Manchester. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege to perform at events such as Manchester Pride, supporting charities like Sparkle, and contributing to various LGBTQ+ events in the city.

Our repertoire is as diverse as our members. From timeless classics like “In the Mood” to contemporary hits like Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven” and show-stopping tunes from “Hairspray,” we cover a wide range of music that is sure to get your toes tapping and your heart singing.
